At that time, the factory building was less than 300 square meters and six dye vats. At most, the number of woolen sweater looms reached more than 6000 in the town, which solved the employment opportunities of thousands of people and effectively utilized the idle labor force in rural areas. The old chairman, Mr. Wang Mingfu, was awarded the title of "Model Worker" by the Yantai Administrative Office and the Yantai Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government twice in a row.

In 1989, Penglai Wool Sweater Group Company was formally established in Xizheng Gaojia Village, Beigou Town, focusing on the development of the two major industries of dyeing thread and sweater, and pushing the sweater industry in Beigou Town to a climax again. In the past ten years, the company has adhered to the business philosophy of "diligence and development, integrity-based", always leaving good product quality to customers, and never owed employees a penny. While accumulating rich experience, enterprises have also strengthened their competitiveness, constantly emerging, and marketing has gradually expanded. In 2001, the company invested in Penglai Hengyuan Dyeing Industry Co., Ltd. in Gangli Village, Beigou Town.

In October 2000, the Penglai City Government dispatched an agency, Penglai Xicheng Lingang Industrial Zone, located in Luanjiaguou, Penglai City, was formally established. The total planned area of the area is about 46 square kilometers. The Industrial Zone Management Committee has increased infrastructure construction, and all the areas have been realized. On April 11, 2003, Shandong Mingfu Garment Co., Ltd. was formally established. The company has a registered capital of 10 million yuan and covers an area of 67626 square meters, including 16326.34 square meters of office buildings and workshops. Its main businesses are: processing needle spinning products and operating the import and export business of its own products and technologies. The company has 6 technicians and 260 employees, 120 full-automatic computer knitting flat knitting machines, 100 sewing machines, 20 ironing machines, 120 sets of various supporting equipment and needle 3.5-12 needles, the annual production capacity is 2 million pieces. The company's product structure is mainly to undertake foreign trade export business, supplemented by processing and finishing business. Mainly sold to South Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, the United States, South Africa and other places, mainly by wire transfer settlement. In 2005, the company passed the IS09001 quality management system certification. In October 2007, the "Wang Mingfu" brand trademark was registered with the State Administration for Industry and Commerce for ten years. The products cover knitted garments, sweaters, scarves, shawls, etc. In 2007, it was rated as the "export backbone enterprise" in Penglai City. From 2006 to 2017, it was rated as a municipal and provincial "contract and trustworthy" unit by the Yantai Administration for Industry and Commerce for many consecutive years.
